The other day my co-worker, Doug, asked me if I had been watching the show everyone's starting to talk about - Mad Men. I hadn't been and there was nothing good on TV one recent evening when I noticed past episodes were offered for free on OnDemand. I was hooked in five minutes.
The problem was I couldn't stop watching. I watched episode after episode three nights in a row and stayed up hours after I should have gone to bed because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I was starting to look like some crazy strung out chick with dark circles under my eyes when suddenly...there were no more episodes to watch. I was caught up. This was worse! Now I actually, did have to wait to see what happened next.
The show is centered around a NY ad agency in the 60's and does a great job of portraying the sexual politics of that era. Boy.. I feel so sorry for my Mom every time I watch it. It really sucked being a woman then. If you aren't watching this show, start. It's the best thing on TV.
